Description We are in the process of hiring a Facilities Assistant for our organization in the non-profit sector located in Bloomington, Minnesota. This role involves the management and coordination of facility services and office equipment, as well as the implementation of health and safety protocols. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the smooth operation and functionality of the facility, coordinating necessary maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Collaborate with contractors and service providers to ensure quality work is performed timely and within budget. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with environmental and other regulations. Manage office moves and oversee space allocation and layout. Maintain an inventory of office supplies and place orders when necessary. Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures. Handle emergency preparation and plans. Regularly inspect facilities to identify problems and necessary maintenance. Prepare and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for company facilities.Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Concur, Kronos Timekeeping System, About Time and other related software. Proven experience in budgeting processes and facilities planning. Strong communication and customer service skills. Experience in coordinating conference rooms and other facilities. Prior experience in a similar role as a Facilities Assistant or Facilities Coordinator is preferred. Ability to work in a non-profit environment and support the organization's goals. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and shift priorities simultaneously. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
