TRISTAR is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) for our Corporate office in Bloomington, IN Relocation assistance is available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Bloomington, Indiana or surrounding areas.

Position Description:
Facility Security Officer (FSOs) manages, administers and coordinates the DOD or other industrial security program and other security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures

Position Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for establishing strong working relationships with Regional DCSA (Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency) Representative, government and corporate FSOs/SSOs, and Program/Project Managers to facilitate the processing of security documentation, scheduling and/or conducting Pre-Screening Interviews and Indoctrinations, processing of visitor requests, submitting incident reports, responding to CAFs inquiries (LOIs), and briefing employees on proper safeguarding of classified information.
  • Responsible for facilitating facility inspections by DCSA
  • Conduct annual security refresher trainings, NATO briefings and Courier Security briefings
  • Responsible for submitting and coordinating DD Form 254s and other contract security documentation
  • Responsible for obtaining DD254s from Govt. components and the submittal of revisions, per contractual needs
  • Manage all NISPOM, NISPOM Supplements, and DCID requirements, and other applicable security requirements
  • Assist with Chapter 8 (Information Technology Security) requirements including development, approval, and review of Automated Information Systems
  • Be able to accurately and successfully complete all documentation required for a facility clearance and gain approval to process classified information on information systems
  • Be able to sponsor a partner company accurately and successfully for a facility clearance
  • Responsible for the physical security of the facility and the safeguarding of classified information, up to and including TS/SCI
  • Responsible for reporting incidents and other reports to DCSA, FBI, DIA, NCIS, and other DoD organizations as required
  • Responsible for the accountability of classified documents and systems in the facility, and the proper dissemination of classified information to cleared personnel per contractual support
  • Implements site specific security procedures, checklists, process controls and practices for classified operations (up to and including TS/SCI) such as preparation of documents and destruction of records
  • Be able to coordinate unclassified and classified meetings according to NISPOM requirements. Must be knowledgeable of special handling caveats and ITAR restrictions pertaining to foreign nationals attending classified meetings and facility access
  • Responsible for protecting personnel information in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974
  • Responsible for managing all company employee security clearances, ensuring periodic reinvestigations are initiated and performed preventing expiration
  • Responsible for entering security information into DISS and initiating e-QIP investigations
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the company Security Program
  • Responsible for ensuring closed area construction requirements are met and certified
  • Responsible for the company Insider Threat Program and serve as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official

Position Requirements:
  • Excellent communications skills both oral and written
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of leadership
  • Knowledge and experience managing classified programs
  • Knowledge of Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, COMSEC, OPSEC and Insider Threat Programs
  • Knowledgeable of special handling caveats and ITAR restrictions pertaining to foreign nationals attending classified meetings and facility access
  • Knowledge of DISS, NISS, SPOT, APACS
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess a Current Top Secret (TS) Clearance


Education and

Certification

:
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Defense Counterintelligence and Security Service (DCSA)-qualified FSO and 3-5 years' experience in security programs as an FSO
  • Degree requirement may be waived with a minimum of 5 years' experience in security programs as an FSO
  • FSO Program Management for possessing facilities and FSO role in the NISP training completed
