To learn more about Berry, visit berryglobal.comPURPOSE:The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for testing, technical support and maintenance of the Bloomington Lab. Key responsibilities include sample analysis, data management, up keep of instruments and method development.Position Responsibilities :

Issue COA for both Bloomington and Odon facilities

Manage laboratory calibration program for Bloomington and Odon facilities.

Works with Technical Department to ensure product specifications are entered in the Access Database.

Works with Technical Department to ensure trial and sample materials are properly tested, identified, packaged and delivered.

Conduct specialty film performance testing (GC, MVTR, OTR, and physical testing) and report back as appropriate.

Assist in complaint and defect analysis.

Training of production employees on lab equipment and testing procedures.

Write/modify work instructions for equipment and testing protocols.

Conduct all job duties in accordance with the company’s published policies.

Procure new lab equipment and lab supplies.

Report and analyze work load data to Quality Manager.

Ensure the proper retention and disposal of retains.

Qualifications:

High school diploma preferred with minimum 2 years of laboratory or quality assurance work related experience.

Working knowledge of computer software including Outlook, Microsoft Explorer, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access).

ISO 9001:2015 and SQF experience preferred.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Highly motivated, self-directed work ethic.

Ability to interpret statistical results.
