As a Senior Professional Civil Engineer - Roadway & Utilities (10 - 15 Years of Experience), you\'ll lead impactful projects that enhance community connectivity and safety. You will lead design and project coordination throughout the full cycle of a variety of roadway and municipal projects from feasibility studies, initial design, final design to supervising construction of design. TKDA HQ 2025 Responsibilities Lead the design and management of civil engineering projects within the transportation, municipal, and government sectors. Develop project plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Work alongside Civil, Water Resources, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural professionals to deliver multi-discipline projects. Provide technical guidance and oversight on projects involving streets/roadways, sidewalks, cycling infrastructure, utility infrastructure, stormwater management, and public parks. Ensure designs are efficient, sustainable, and meet community needs. Mentor and develop less experienced team members by sharing knowledge and professional experiences. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment. Oversee all technical, quality, financial, and safety aspects of projects from conception through construction. Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively. Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes. Participate in professional development activities to stay current with industry advancements. Required Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota Minimum of 10 - 15 years of technical design experience with municipal and/or transportation projects including roadway design, vehicular and/or pedestrian access, site grading, pollution control, and stormwater management Minimum of 2 years of experience managing multi-disciplined projects; strong working knowledge of the project development process including coordination with other disciplines during design and construction Previous business development experience demonstrated by a track record of securing new project opportunities Ability to apply effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills when developing proposals, negotiating project contracts, preparing technical reports, leading project team meetings, and delivering client presentations Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop less experienced professionals with an emphasis on technical design standards, quality control, and/or project management practices Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) reviews for civil projects Experience ross-selling multi-disciplined consulting services and contributing to the creation of annual business/market development plans Experience working with regulatory agencies, and knowledge of the permit application process with FEMA, DOT, DNR, and state / local government entities Experience and understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D used to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs Flexibility for limited overnight travel to conduct on-site consultations, participate in project meetings, or attend business development and industry events Must possess a valid Driver\'s License with a clean driving record Upon accepting a job offer, the selected candidate will undergo a standard pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check, education verification and motor vehicle record check.Preferred Qualifications Professional registration in additional states with a preference of Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Iowa Prior management and design experience for private utilities / industrial developers Prior management and design experience for renewable energy (solar and/or wind) infrastructure The listed salary range reflects base pay for candidates with 10-15 years of related experience. TKDA\'s Bridge Group is at the forefront of designing and analyzing a wide range of bridge types and structural projects. You\'ll have the opportunity to support and lead multi-disciplined transportation projects, mentor talented team members, and contribute to innovative solutions in both traditional and design-build environments. We are seeking a Professional Engineer, Civil /Structural - Bridge (5 - 10 years of experience). You will be responsible for designing and analyzing a variety of bridge types, from conventional grade separations to complex highway interchanges and river crossings. These structures may include pre-stressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, cast-in-place concrete, or steel plate girder construction. You will work on diverse project types and gain exposure to both traditional design-bid-build and design-build projects across the country. We approach all projects from an in-house / one stop shop solution perspective where we leverage our multi-disciplined team to draw on each other\'s strengths and adapt to changing client needs.
