ACTIVELY HIRING: Mechanical Design EngineerJob DescriptionAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will research, design, develop, document, build, and test complex AC/DC electrical motors, components, and accessories. You will provide leadership for new and improved products (electric motors) and support them in production, sales, servicing, troubleshooting, and updates. Additionally, you will analyze and consult on how the electric motors and components meet customer expectations for design.Responsibilities include:
Designing and developing new DC, AC induction, and AC synchronous motors/generators within Autodesk Inventor
Analyzing historical data to improve existing designs
Managing projects from conception to completion
Providing technical leadership and mentoring to team members
Creating motor test requirements and performance specifications
Developing engineering solutions based on customer needs
Reviewing and approving customer designs
Preparing technical documentation for design, manufacturing, and installation
Creating and maintaining product specifications and user manuals
Approving design drawings and managing change processes
Optimizing project execution for time, cost, and functionality
Resolving manufacturing engineering issues
Staying current with industry technology trends
Conducting design reviews and supporting the Engineering Design team
Contributing to customer proposals and technical specifications
Hard Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ME, MET, EE, or EET)
15+ years of experience
5+ years of Autodesk Inventor experience (3D modeling)
Ability to work and communicate cross-functionally with various groups (engineering team, project management team, sales team, customers)
