NineStar Connect is seeking a DC Power Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and reliability of DC power systems that are critical to our communications and utility infrastructure.In this role, you will ensure that essential systems remain operational, efficient, and ready to serve our members. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and being part of a team that supports vital services in the community.What You’ll DoInstall, test, and maintain DC power systems (rectifiers, batteries, distribution panels)Perform preventative maintenance on battery plants, UPS systems, and related equipmentConduct load testing, inspections, and system auditsDiagnose and resolve issues with DC power systemsRespond to outages and alarms to restore services quickly and safelyInterpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentationMonitor system performance and identify potential risksMaintain accurate maintenance and repair recordsSupport facility systems including HVAC, alarms, lighting, and fire suppressionUtilize portable and towable generators during emergency situationsPerform routine building maintenance across all locationsParticipate in an on-call rotation for offices, central offices, and DLC cabinetsCollaborate with other departments as neededWorking ConditionsOutdoor work in varying weather conditionsPhysical work including lifting and equipment handlingOn-call responsibilities and shift work requiredPosition requires onsite presence (not eligible for remote work)
