We have partnered with a leading clinical diagnostic company that provides medical and supportive care for patients and families with bleeding and clotting disorders. Their medical lab team is actively hiring for a Clinical Lab Tech that will be a part of a fast track training to become a Sr. Tech and leader within the lab. As a Clinical Lab Tech, duties include; understands and prepare, samples tests on 4 different analyzers. Perform diagnostic testing, perform reagent preparation, calibration and maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot, and validations, and sample identification/evaluation.
Position Summary:
Under direct supervision by department leadership, donor lab tech performs diagnostic clinical and clinical contract research testing.
Prepare samples through sample management and test samples on 4 different analyzers for customer results.
Supports preparation of laboratory reagents and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Understands and performs to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
Performs diagnostic testing, as scheduled (500-1,500 samples per analyzer in a given night) on one of 4 analyzers.
Supports sample management team with sample identification/evaluation, labeling, processing and centrifuging samples when there are high volumes of samples or decrease in tests needed
Performs reagent preparation, as scheduled, and support maintenance of reagent.
Operates, troubleshoots, and performs routine maintenance and calibration on equipment and may participate in validations (equipment is properly running).
May release final results in accordance to training and compliance requirements.
Qualifications: Must Have:
B.S. Life Science (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, etc) OR Medical Lab Tech (MLT) schooling with ASCP certification or Clinical Lab Science (CLS) schooling
3-5+ years of clinical testing experience
(Human biological testing (blood, tissue, urine, etc.), blood banking experience, Biology Lab Internship, and experience with centrifuges, Spectrophotometer, qPCR instrumentation, Gel Electrophoresis, DNA Sequencer)
