Adecco Medical is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Patient Care Assistant to join our client's team in Indianapolis, Indiana - 46240. This is a Direct-Hire position. If interested, please apply now!Shift

Monday-Friday

4 hours a day

10am-2pm

Pay$15.00-$16.50/hrRequirements

Active Driver’s License

Auto insurance

Must be able to clear a background check (background check scans entire record for lifetime)

Some prior experience is preferred

TB vaccination or the ability to be vaccinated.

Job Description

Patient Care Assistants will be primarily working with geriatric patients

Patient Care Assistants may need to travel with their patient to run errands (Prescriptions, doctor’s appointments, etc.) travel is limited to a 10-mile radius from home.

Mileage and gas are reimbursed .50 cents per mile

PCA’s will be primarily out in the field, very rarely going to the office.

Ensure clients receive their medication on time

Support clients who can’t move on their own

Help clients dress, bathe, eat etc.

Assist clients with physical therapy exercises

Cook meals according to the customer’s restrictions

Help customers with their shopping

Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment

Provide emotional support

Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events

Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
