Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Patient Registration Specialist in the healthcare industry, located in Carmel, Indiana, United States. As a Patient Registration Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating patient flow from the point of entry to destination, ensuring maximum reimbursement, and maintaining clinical outcomes. Responsibilities: Guide patients from their point of entry to their destination in a detail oriented and efficient manner Collect and manage patient demographic and financial information to ensure maximum reimbursement Schedule patient appointments and interview patients to gather relevant medical information Explain departmental and hospital charges and policies to patients Validate and input charges into the appropriate systems, and collect necessary payments Handle incoming calls and appropriately direct patients and visitors Use EHR systems like Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Epic EMR to maintain patient records Perform billing functions and manage authorizations for clinical trial operations. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient registration. Proficient in using Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and EHR SYSTEM. Familiarity with Epic EMR and Epic Software is highly desirable. Experience in answering inbound calls, demonstrating excellent communication and patient service skills. Ability to handle authorizations, benefit functions, and billing functions with accuracy and efficiency. Experience or knowledge in clinical trial operations is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
