Job SummaryThis position plans and prepares production scheduling to achieve the most efficient and profitable production schedule and to provide on time delivery to the customer.Job ResponsibilitiesCreates production schedule by reviewing work order specifications, current schedule and availability of equipment, materials and employees, to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer ordersConfers with department management/supervisors to determine status of assigned projectsExamines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specificationsArranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedulesComputes amount of material required to complete job ordersCompiles and maintains records such as material inventory, in process production reports and status and location of materialsExpedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditionsMaintain working knowledge of customer quality requirementsOther duties as assignedQualificationsKnowledge of the steel industry, steel applicationsHS Diploma1-3 years of experience in a scheduling type position preferredStrong organizational skills and analytical problem-solving abilityAbility to manage changing priorities and multiple tasksEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
