About the Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR): The Indiana Department of Revenue team has over 700 staff members from 13 locations across Indiana. We work collaboratively with the Indiana Governor's office, the General Assembly, state agencies, individuals, business owners, corporations, tax practitioners, and tax program participants to administer Indiana's tax laws. DOR administers over 65 tax types and annually processes nearly $21 billion of tax revenue. Our mission is to serve Indiana by administering tax laws fairly, securely, and efficiently. Salary: This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $34,216. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience. Role Overview: The Program Coordinator provides technical support functions for the Document Preparation department. You will work with a high degree of independence requiring technical knowledge of the department's rules, regulations, and general services. You may access Federal Tax information while performing daily job duties. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are:

Receive, analyze, and sort documents received by mail.

Review, analyze, and determine the best method to process tax returns efficiently.

Load and unload trucks.

Operate high-speed equipment such as mail cutter, sorter, ACE Extractors, forklift, and commercial shredder.

Inventory and disburse supplies throughout the building and agency.

Move furniture and cabinets when necessary.

What You'll Need for Success: You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

Considerable knowledge of the return processing procedures for various tax returns, applications, and forms.

Ability to recommend changes to the workflow when appropriate.

Ability to gather statistical data and prepare appropriate reports for supervisor or work leader.

Hold a valid Indiana Driver’s License in good standing.
