AECOM is actively seeking a driven, attentive Railroad Public Projects Engineer for immediate employment in Indiana (AECOM’s West Region) to join our Class I Railroad Team. This individual may report out of AECOM’s Indianapolis office.  The new team member will be supporting AECOM’s Class I Railroad Public Improvements team on projects throughout Indiana and adjacent states.   The ideal candidate shall demonstrate experience in engineering design, construction inspection, or project management. Our expertise and global reach enable us to deliver high-quality solutions for our clients that pave the way for long-lasting benefits to society. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Reviewing sponsor plans, contractor submissions, and contractor calculations for impacts and constructability issues as they relate to the Railroad client.On-site monitoring of field operations conducted by outside parties and their contractors for conformance with Railroad requirements and approved contractor means and methods.Coordinating with Railroad personnel, project sponsors, and contractors to help deliver our scope of services to the Railroad client throughout the design and construction phases of the project.Maintaining accurate project records and being accountable for successful and timely delivery of project documentation (i.e. field reports and meeting minutes) while upholding the quality standards of AECOM and the Railroad client.Proactively responding to client requests and input.Assisting task leaders with managing the administration and financial tasks for a current General Engineering Contract (GEC) with the Railroad.Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
