Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Highly acute 24-beds Surgical/Medical Cardiac ICU/Cardiac Recovery
Specializing in advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, STEMI, transplant, VAD’s, thoracic, vascular, ECMO patient populations
Nursing to patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
Supported by Patient Care Technicians, resource, and multidisciplinary teams
1 - 2 years of Critical Care (ICU) experience preferred

Medical Patients: STEMI, Cardiac Arrest, and Advanced Heart Failure
Surgical Patients: Cardiac: Transplant, VAD, CABG, and Valve Repair/Replacement
Thoracic: Pneumonectomy, Lobectomy, Esophagectomy
Vascular: AAA repair, CEA, complex vascular repair
Transplant: Heart, Kidney, and Pancreas
Location and shifts:Ascension St. Vincent is located at 2001 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260. We are hiring for Full-time Day shift - 7:00AM – 7:30PM.
