The RN manages patient care in the healthcare continuum to achieve optimum outcomes in a safe and cost-effective manner and demonstrates skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation, and management of resources.The Med/Surg/Oncology Unit at Community East Hospital cares for a variety of patients including medical and surgical care for a variety of cancers and hematology diagnoses. Nurses in this area will gain a wide range of skills, including ONC certification within one year.The Med/Surg/Oncology unit is a highly supportive environment. New nurse hires will collaborate with a unit-based educator to develop an onboarding and orientation plan which is customized to their learning needs. If you are a life-long learner, you will thrive in the oncology setting!Exceptional Skills and Qualifications Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) One year of RN experience preferred, new graduates will be considered Required to become chemotherapy certified within 6months of hire.Why Community?At Community Health Network, we build teams that deliver exceptional care through empathy, communication and collaboration.
