Vertex - Ordinance Equipment Mechanic - Job ID#204777Job ID#:204777Posted:2/29/2024Location:Indianapolis INJob Category:Light Industrial/ManufacturingPosition Type:Associate - W2Positions Available:7PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Ordinance Equipment Mechanic, in Indianapolis, IN.Job Description:-Performs the following duties, and other related activities as assigned.-Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements.-May perform as a member of a functional and/or cross- functional team.-Duties include assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, screen, repair, adjustment, test and/or verification of complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems in accordance with common military, commercial, and aerospace specifications.-Typical systems include avionics, missiles, weapons controls, aircraft armament, bomb racks, launchers and associated equipment.-Electrical duties may include, but are not limited to, removal and installation of components, connectors, and wiring into cabinets, chassis, and console type assemblies.-Mechanical duties include, but are not limited to, removal, installation, and adjustment of mechanical parts to precise tolerances.-Structural duties may include, but are not limited to, light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.Education Required:-High School degree or GED equivalent.Job Location:-100% OnsiteExperience Required:-Must be able to perform duties using pneumatic tools, electric tools, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment. May perform informal, in-process checks on manufactured or processed items to assist authorized formal inspection and/or test personnel in determining product validation or assist other related job classifications when directed.Knowledge Required:-Must be able to read, interpret and analyze engineering drawings, production planning and other technical documents, as well as possess extensive knowledge of the varied and complex electronic, electromechanical and/or optical equipment/system(s) involved.
