We are hiring Cooks, Servers, Cashiers at our Greenwood, IN location!

Cook:

The Cook is responsible for the quality, quantity, tastiness, and freshness of all Hot Choice Buffet products. The

Cook pays special attention to speed, cleanliness, organization, and product specifications.

Responsibilities:

Prepares Hot Choice Buffet products, including Carving and Display Cooking products, according to

Golden Corral recipes and procedures.

Grills all items according to Golden Corral standards to ensure quality.

Ensures that every fried product is always fresh and hot.

If the Buffet Attendant is unavailable, the Cook restocks the items at the Display Cooking Station.

If the Carver is unavailable, assists guests with carved meat options.

Complete use and following of the buffet production system to insure quality and shelf life compliance.

Maintains the correct temperature of all products during cooking, holding and serving.

Uses the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and the Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide to

maintain an inventory of all hot cook products.

Conducts opening and closing administrative procedures.

Properly maintains equipment according to the Equipment Maintenance manual.

Restocks and rotates food products by using the first-in, first-out method (FIFO).

Takes inventory of products and checks build-to with the Manager at the beginning and end of each

shift.

Ensures that that Hot Cook area and all smallwares are clean and checks dishes for cleanliness before

using them.

Performs duty roster and Cleanliness, Service, and Quality (CSQ) responsibilities.

Follows local health department laws.

Keeps Char Grill clean and scraped to ensure product quality and sanitation.

Ensures that Hot Choice Buffet products, including Display Cooking products, are always hot and fresh

for the guests.

Knows and follows position responsibilities as they relate to just-in-time delivery.

Is friendly and courteous to guests and assists them with the products.

Maintains professional communication at all times.

Performs other functions that may be necessary to ensure guests receive a pleasurable dining experience.

Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored

Ensures stated goals are met

Server:

Ensure Guests receive an exceptional dining experience. Serves Guests in a warm, friendly, timely and proficient manner and is attentive to their needs. Practices responsible alcohol service in accordance with state and local laws and Golden Corral Dining alcohol policy.

Responsibilities:

Possess proficient knowledge of the menu in order to explain our offerings to the Guests, inform them of current food promotions and specials, and answer any questions. - Accurately writes food and beverage orders on Guest tickets and enters order into POS quickly and prior to serving, using appropriate abbreviations and charges.

Serves food and beverages to Guests in a timely manner, which includes retrieving food orders from the kitchen and transporting them to the Guests in the servers’ section, as well as for any other section in the restaurant.

Ability to assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a Manager. Even in other team member’s sections.

Follow alcohol awareness procedures for identifying age, preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated Guests and adheres to all company related alcohol policies.

Collect payment (credit cards, cash) for drinks and/or food served following company established accounting procedures for all transactions.

Ensure all financial transactions are correct and maintains accuracy and coin for making change.

Operate credit card machines correctly.

Accurately calculates change due to the Guest and return appropriate amount in a timely matter.

Maintains table appearance by pre-bussing, checking drink levels, removing clutter and providing adequate napkins, etc.

Keeps station clean, sets up and takes down station tables appropriately.

Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties.

Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

Assists other Team Members as needed or when business needs dictate.

Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company team members to promote a cooperative working climate to help keep high morale.

Portrays a favorable image of Golden Corral at all times.

Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored

Ensures stated goals are met

Cashier:

The Cashier’s primary responsibility is serving the guest. As one of the first Co-workers who has the opportunity

to make a positive impression on the guest, the Line Person must be attentive, helpful, and pleasant in appearance and personality. The cashier should treat all Golden Corral guests as if they were guests in his or her own home and sustain an environment that is inclusive and welcoming for all guests.

Responsibilities:

Assists guests by being able to describe all menu offerings and how the Golden Coral line ordering systems operates.

Ensures that line products are always available.

Handles payments accurately.

Processes to-go orders and assists guests at the Buffet by the Pound station.

Is friendly and courteous on the phone.

Offers assistance any guests who may need help.

Follows the Five Steps of Line Service.

Opens and closes the line area efficiently and quickly.

Brings equipment problems to the attention of the Manager.

Communicates cash levels in the drawer to the Manager to reduce cash in drawer for liability purposes.

Assists with the buffet and Server area, as directed by the Crew Leader, Assistant Manager, or Manager.

Performs duty roster and Cleanliness, Service, and Quality (CSQ) responsibilities.

Ensures that smallwares are always clean, dry, and available for guests.

Follows local health department laws.

Performs other functions that may be necessary to ensure guests receive a pleasurable dining experience.
