Elderly couple needs in-home assistance in two shifts. First shift is 7am to 2pm, second shift is 2pm to 9pm. Days of the week will depend on which days you are available. For each shift, we will somehow need to cover all seven days, so we plan to hire two caregivers to work three or four days each. Pay range is $16 to $17 per hour.
The husband has Parkinson's, the wife has severe scoliosis. The husband requires assistance getting out of bed in the mornings, going to the bathroom, bathing, and dressing. There is definitely a heavy lifting component to the job, since sometimes he cannot stand up by himself. Preparing and serving lunch, dinner, and occasional snacks or beverages will be part of the job. In addition, the couple needs help with basic laundry, dishes, and light cleaning.
We are not an employer. You would be your own independent self getting paid directly by the elderly couple, just like the guy who cuts the grass. Since these positions will be in the home, applicants will need to present a valid drivers license so that we can do a criminal background check. Relevant experience and references are required. For qualified candidates, we will arrange an in-person interview to assure a good match.
