The Human Resources Generalist will provide HR support to assigned locations. Home office will be located at the customer's work site, which is located in Shelbyville, IN.

Summary

In this role, you will have responsibility for oversight and implementation of all company HR services at assigned locations. You will work in partnership with corporate HR to provide a high level of service to your assigned locations. The HR Generalist works collaboratively as a member of the HR Team to support the company's overall strategic vision through providing HR excellence.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Provides high-quality advice and service to managers and employees at the locations assigned by providing information about company policies, HR programs and practices

• Conducts full-cycle recruiting for all open positions at assigned locations, to include building recruiting strategy, drafting job postings, posting jobs, conducting phone screens and relevant onsite interviews, scheduling interviews, coordinating any required pre-employment assessments, consulting with hiring managers about selection decisions, making and negotiating offers

• Coaches and supports managers to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention to enhance employee engagement and successful business outcomes

• Serves as a member of the HR Team, and participates in department initiatives and project assignments, as assigned

• Coordinates and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations

• Advantages knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees in order to reduce risk and ensure regulatory compliance

• Conducts new hire onboarding, including new hire paperwork, HR up-to-date training, etc.

• Assists as needed in the administration of benefit programs; including enrollments, changes, terminations, etc.

• Assists with terminations and ensuring the appropriate documentation and paperwork is completed

• Bilingual responsibilities include: translating employee communication materials, conducting tours and interviews in Spanish & English, maintain ongoing communication with employees concerning the company's HR policies, programs, and activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferred

• Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience working in a full-time direct HR role, with functional responsibility in at least two key areas of HR required.

• Prior experience in employee relations, performance management, leave administration, and/or recruiting strongly preferred;

• Solid knowledge of current federal and state laws;

• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization; Proven ability to effectively communicate with line level employees through senior leaders;

• Strong proficiency and prior experience with HRMS systems required; experience using Clear Company, Paylocity and Blueforce a plus;

• Must be able to perform analytical tasks and be highly detail-oriented and meticulous about ensuring information produced is accurate;

• Must be able to appropriately, discretely and effectively handle and communicate sensitive information and have a strong understanding of confidentiality;

• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Excellent written and verbal communication;

• Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels in the organization;

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation

• Office is located in a Warehouse environment

• Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures, as duties require

• Traveling required, as needed
