We’re a growing mobile roadside and fleet service company expanding into the Indianapolis corridor. We run a fully-equipped service truck, dispatch 24/7, and specialize in heavy-duty semi-truck breakdown repair, PM services, and fleet maintenance. Your Role:
You’ll be the lead technician operating our mobile service truck in the Indianapolis metro and surrounding freight lanes. Your day will include emergency breakdown calls, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and on-site repairs. You’ll represent the company and build relationships with drivers, fleets, and dispatch partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to breakdown calls: diagnostics, repairs, jump starts, air system leaks, coolant issues, etc.
Perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, fleet preview checks on semi trucks, service trucks.
Maintain the service truck and tools: keep mobile unit clean, stocked, safe, and ready.
Dispatch/reporting: input service call data, parts used, travel time, job finish.
Customer service: interact with drivers/fleets, communicate ETA, job status, follow-up.
Night & weekend availability: breakdowns don’t keep business hours — you must be ready.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years experience working on heavy-duty trucks / roadside service or mobile service truck environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude & diagnostic skill with semi trucks, service trucks, heavy-duty equipment.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record (MVR review).
Comfortable driving and operating in-field: travel across Indianapolis region, truck lanes, highway breakdowns.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills — you’ll be on the road, interacting with drivers/fleets.
Self-motivated, independent, good judgment under pressure.
Willingness for on-call/after-hours shifts, possibly nights or weekends when needed.
Preferred:
Experience with fleet maintenance programs.
Knowledge of mobile diagnostics, air brake systems, PM processes, DOT compliance.
Experience driving or working from a mobile service truck.
Familiarity with dispatch software, tablets, digital reporting.
