In the efforts of making our salvage yard more efficient, we are filling a new position of Yard Parts Puller. This person will go outside into the salvage yard to dismantle/pull parts off the cars that are sold. This includes in the rain, snow, and heat so it must be someone comfortable in the elements. They will also drive a forklift to pull axles off shelves that are sold and also move mechanicals around to clear out engine dismantlers bays.
Essential Job Duties:
Unbolt, unscrew, unhinge, and pull parts off cars outside in the salvage yard doors, lights, consoles, radios, modules, air bags, and more.
Drive a forklift to pull dismantled parts off shelves.
Driver forklift to move mechanicals in and out of dismantling bays
Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments
Perform forklift duties along with daily inspections
Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
Having your own tools is very helpful.
Knowledge of automotive parts and the ability to remove them with finesse as to not damage anything
Experience in a salvage yard or automotive field helpful.
Basic math and reading skills to perform job tasks and complete necessary paperwork
Ability to follow oral and/or written instruction.
You must also work well as part of a team.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm, no weekends!
