Millers Construction Group Inc. is looking for a couple full time employees. We are a small company and keep it small in order to keep our full time employees working year around. We have been in business since 2004 and will remain in business for years to come.
MUST have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation and be willing to meet at the shop in mooresville at 8 a.m. every morning, from there you will take a company truck to the job site. (you will not be asked to drive your personal vehicle to the job). (You do NOT need your own tools on the job).
You should be willing to work 40 hours per week or more IF needed. (Sometimes Saturdays and Sundays and possibly holidays. NOT ALWAYS) You do get paid time and a half for anything worked over 40 hours in any given work week. You do get paid every Friday.
We perform work in many different fields including Concrete, Masonry, Painting, Caulking, drywall, epoxy coatings, dock door repairs, and other various commercial and industrial maintenance jobs including general cleaning. A decent welder could also be helpful but not at all required. If you can weld there are times we could use you, again though we need a full time employee a welder will only weld occasionally and then may be asked to paint or finish concrete, paint, mix mortar etc.
You will rarely work at a residence most of our work is commercial/ Industrial. There are times where we will work off of an aerial, scissor lift or scaffolding. You may be asked to work in the air, typically not more than 20 or 30 feet and you will have a harness. If you have a problem with working that high at times, than please do not apply. Also you will be asked to lift stuff that may weigh 80-100 lbs, maybe more, most likely it will not be day in day out but it will happen, it may only happen once a month it may happen 20 times in a day. if you have a bad back or are not able to lift that much weight then this position probably isn't right for you. We do have fork trucks for extremely heavy tasks and one of our trucks has a lift gate if needed. If you have never drove a fork truck scissor lift boom lift etc. it is ok i will train and certify you in the proper way of using this equipment.
Again this is a full time position and we work year around.
If you can show up are a hard worker and are willing to work every day let me know what you have experience in and we can work out an hourly rate. A lot of experience is not necessary if you are willing to learn, have some common sense, and a good work ethic you may work out for a long term position.
