About the Role
HG Metals is seeking a reliable and hardworking Yardman to join our fabrication team. The Yardman plays a key role in daily yard operations, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently to keep projects moving on schedule.
Responsibilities
Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload steel materials.
Organize and maintain the steel yard for efficiency and safety.
Assist with loading/unloading trucks.
Stage materials for shop crews and field operations.
Perform routine equipment checks and basic yard maintenance.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
Previous forklift experience required (certification preferred, but training available).
Ability to safely handle and move steel or heavy materials.
Strong attention to detail and safety.
Ability to work in an outdoor yard environment in varying weather conditions.
Dependable and able to follow directions in a fast-paced environment.
