Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Select appropriate tools, materials, and machining parameters.
Monitor the machining process to ensure quality and precision.
Make adjustments to the machine settings as needed.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of lathe machines.
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and quality control inspectors.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Document production activities and maintain accurate records.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the lathe machines.
Ensure efficient use of materials and minimize waste.
Train and mentor junior lathe operators.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Lathe Operator.
Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and precision.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
