We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of 40 trailers and semi trucks. You will be working primarily at the Frito Lay plant in Frankfort, IN, using a mobile truck provided by the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of trailers and semi trucks
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program
Utilize technology to enhance maintenance efficiency and record-keeping
Maintain detailed records of services and repairs
Communicate effectively with team members and management
Reefer experience highly preferred
Requirements:
Proven experience as a diesel mechanic
Certified to perform DOT inspections
Knowledge of trailer and semi truck maintenance
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in using technology for maintenance and record-keeping
Excellent communication skills
Commitment to safety standards and regulations
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must live within 50 miles of Frankfort, IN
