About the Indiana State Park Inns: The Indiana State Park Inns are one of the oldest state parks lodging systems in the country. The Inn features comfortable 73 guest rooms, the Millstone Dining Room, an indoor/outdoor pool, and banquet/conference space. Role Overview: The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for managing daily housekeeping operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Salary Statement: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,918 but may be commensurate with education or work experience. A Day in the Life:
Manage daily housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service, and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely manner
Schedule staff according to standards and forecasted occupancies
Conduct monthly linen inventory with an understanding of usage
Creation and documentation of deep cleaning schedules for all rooms, carpets, and public spaces
Maintain open communication between associates and management and monitor associate relations
Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling, evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward
Oversee and conduct room inspections
Recruit, interview, and train team members
What You'll Need for Success:
Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent experience. 2+ years prior housekeeping management experience.Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to all aspects of rooms/suites.
Ability to physically move large objects such as carts, large bags of linen, and mattresses.
Excellent organization skills, manage time well, correctly prioritizes, and is flexible.
Proficient in Windows operating systems
This role should expect to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Individuals may be required to wear an Indiana State Park Inns-provided uniform.
Ability to hold effective communication with coworkers and guests and assist them as needed.
