2nd Shift Payroll Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk 2nd Shift in South Bend, IN. You will be working on-site in the manufacturing industry, responsible for administering all functions of the time and attendance payroll system. Your role will include the accurate processing of payroll data, interaction with supervisors and operators, as well as handling daily production entries.Responsibilities: Administer all functions of the time and attendance payroll system Ensure accurate payroll data by reconciling daily worked hours and incentive pay Collaborate closely with the Human Resources department to ensure payroll actions align with union employment and benefits practices Input, review, and clear payroll exceptions to daily timecards in the ADP E-Time based payroll system Work directly with Supervisors/Operators to gather accurate pay information Handle all production entry into the time and attendance system Reconcile daily pay & production summary with Supervisor assistance Track all daily pay adjustments & maintain related spreadsheets upon receiving documentation from Supervisors Resolve timecard and payroll discrepancies by answering any employee payroll queries Prepare and distribute reports as requested Carry out additional duties such as label printing, static record review, inventory, and assigned tasks as time allows. Requirements Proficiency in payroll functions and practices, including review and adjustments Familiarity with Human Resources (HR) Administration Experience in using 'About Time' software for time sheets Understanding of benefit functions and the ability to perform reconciliations Ability to produce and distribute reports on daily production Strong communication skills to handle queries and provide training Proficiency in using spreadsheets for documentation and data management Experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of production and labeling processes Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services and 'A Plus' software Ability to conform to company standards and regulations Experience in working second shift in a payroll role is advantageous Location: South Bend, INSecond Shift:3pm-11:30pm Contract to hire position Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
