If you love the clients butdon’t love the stress and chaos of a group home environment, this may be the job you’re looking for. This person is developmentally disabled and autistic. You would provide one-on-one care in the apartment (secure building) in eight hour shifts. Responsibilities include personal care/hygiene, administering oral meds, preparing meals, housekeeping and companionship. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work autonomously. There is a team lead over this position to train and help you. There will be online training and in-person training before you will work solo.
