Demonstrates understanding and proficiency of the use of the Avasys Telesitter Solution Software Seeks help or advice as soon as possible when patient appears to pose a threat to themselves or others. Participates in a collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues. Assures patient environment safety. Seeks assistance with removal of any potential safety hazard from room and reports findings to the RN. When using Avasys Telesitter Solution Software maintains visual observation at all times. Verbally redirects patient over digital 2-way audio device that is in patient room. Immediately summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance. Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education): Basic Life Support (BLS) training, or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment. Mandatory Reporter training or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment. Organizational Requirements: Maintain stroke education per regulatory requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Completion of Advanced Nurse Aide program. None Specified High school diploma or GED Completion of 75-hour basic Certified Nursing Assistant Program or completion of at least one clinical rotation of a nursing program or comparable education, training and experience OR ER and ICCU Department only- NREMT Certification. Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Proficient in communication skills. Ability to pursue and foster a sense of team and partnership across all disciplines. Ability to communicate effectively, in English, with diverse population groups. Ability to be self-directed, flexible, and able to adapt to change. Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills. Ability to read, write and understand the English language. Ability to demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge in providing care for infant through geriatric patients as required. Ability to assist nursing personnel with patients; explain procedures and give information; skill in the use of specialized equipment and/or techniques; ability to detect abnormal conditions and report appropriately; able to function promptly and appropriately under stressful conditions. Summary As a Program Assistant you will guide the workflow of product license applications and all supporting study reports and other required materials by veterinary biological manufacturers through the scientific review process, to ensure the quality of outgoing correspondence to the applicants, and to provide technical support to the professional staff and Section Leader of a section within Center for Veterinary Biologics (CVB). Responsibilities The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Enters technical product information into computer databases. Composes, reviews and edits technical correspondence for the scientific review staff and the Section Leader, based on a brief outline or sketch provided by the scientist or professional. Completes outgoing correspondences to process incoming electronic submissions, which include letters, protocols and reports of scientific studies, and documents detailing manufacturing processes. Contacts firms for specific information needed to process license applications and other firm submissions, determines responses to issues, and provides information to personnel. Updates product labels and sketches into the Licensing, Serial Release, and Testing Information System (LSRTIS) database, the repository of all information related to licensing of products. Performs literature searches and gathers supporting materials from a variety of sources. Assembles documents and packets in response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Assembles technical information for various reports, briefings, conferences, and hearings. FOR THE GS-06 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Managing multiple tasks, serving as a point of contact, and providing administrative support to supervisor. Communicating clearly and concisely in writing to produce quality documents, reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence. Using common/standard office suite software to prepare correspondence, meeting notes, reports, calendars, presentations, and spreadsheets. Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
