  • Summary As a Program Assistant you will guide the workflow of product license applications and all supporting study reports and other required materials by veterinary biological manufacturers through the scientific review process, to ensure the quality of outgoing correspondence to the applicants, and to provide technical support to the professional staff and Section Leader of a section within Center for Veterinary Biologics (CVB). Responsibilities The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. Composes, reviews and edits technical correspondence for the scientific review staff and the Section Leader, based on a brief outline or sketch provided by the scientist or professional. Contacts firms for specific information needed to process license applications and other firm submissions, determines responses to issues, and provides information to personnel. Updates product labels and sketches into the Licensing, Serial Release, and Testing Information System (LSRTIS) database, the repository of all information related to licensing of products. Performs literature searches and gathers supporting materials from a variety of sources. Assembles documents and packets in response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Assembles technical information for various reports, briefings, conferences, and hearings.
