As an Cybersecurity Engineering Intern you will start on a mission to ensure our products are the safest from any cyber threats and are certified to be airworthy. We pursue security excellence by embedding with the product development teams in support of our Secure System Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).This role is unique due to the vast portfolio of products we support. Product Cybersecurity is a growing need throughout our company and in areas where the demand never existed. Your work will ensure security is kept in forefront during the design, development, testing and deployment of our products. This role is onsite, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.What You Will Do:

You will help to develop and execute system and unit level fuzzing tests to evaluate a products attack surface.

You will assist with conducting vulnerability assessments of proposed and in-service systems.

You will help develop threat model/data flow diagrams to identify where system threats originate and will assist in conducting vulnerability assessments of proposed and fielded systems.

You will grow skills in developing custom tools and testing techniques to uncover residual. defects in our product designs and implementations to identify untrusted inputs utilizing aerospace specific protocols.

You will develop and execute fuzzing and penetration tests to evaluate product robustness from untrusted inputs.

You will learn how to be a credible product security engineer and gain niche security testing skills enabling you to be unique in our industry.

You will gain exposure to industry security certifications such as OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) for FREE. That’s a super attractive addition to your resume.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience coding in C, C or Python.

Familiarity with Linux OS, understanding of SELinux.

Understanding concepts of Threat Modeling and Data Flow Diagrams.

Conducting system and application vulnerability assessments as well as System and Application Penetration Testing experience.

Creating System & Application Fuzzing / Resiliency Tests.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
