Job DescriptionThe Iowa Communications Network (ICN) is recruiting to fill aTechnical Service Specialist Senior (Circuits Billing Specialist)position to be the primary front-end processing of orders as part of our customer billing team in Finance.Processing of requests includes:

Verify that required information in the ServiceNow request item form is complete and accurate. This may include communicating with the account consultant, project manager, an engineer, the circuits database, ServiceNow, the asset manager database and our billing system. Provide consultation to Business Services to determine service and order needs. Immediate processing of orders that do not require project management.

Verify that customer requests are clear and concise and all required information is correct and the order can be completed.

Verify that customer contact, service type and CLLI codes are entered and accurate.

Verify that all relative and detailed notes are added to the request.

Verify that request rate is either from the current rate sheet or that a standard ICN markup has been applied to the rate to bill the customer.

Assign all orders to the applicable group for project management, engineering or data operations.

Ensure all group tasks assigned have been completed and are accurate.

Understand telecommunication terms to be able to verify orders properly. Understand ICN products & services by attending internal product & services meetings and reading materials distributed by ICN staff. Monitor activities of Local Exchange Carriers (LEC) to include tariff changes. Verify that all billing components are accounted for according to system design and programming.Conduct circuit audits including design, inventory and services provided by circuits.
