Des Moines Public Schools is seeking a Head Start CoordinatorJob Summary:Coordinate the district’s Head Start grant in accordance with Federal Performance Standards, district guidelines, and Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards. This position requires continuous use of independent judgment. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the early childhood program.Successful candidates for this position will possess:1. Iowa Teaching License with Early Childhood Endorsement2. Minimum of three years teaching in a preschool setting3. Experience in a leadership role within an early childhood program. Please see attached job descripton for further information on functions of the position along with educational and experience requirements.Position Details:230 Days8 hour daySalary range: $70,214 - $84,953Candidates offered employment will be compensated based on skills, work experience and education.Des Moines Public Schools offers agenerous benefits package including:

Single and Family Health Insurance at no cost to the employee during the first plan year of employment (July 1 - June 30). Premium cost is $600/year after that.

Employees can earn up to $600/year via participation in the Healthy U program.
