We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, organized, and efficient Heavy Equipment Mechanic who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and accepts new challenges head on.
Summary of Duties: Repairs and overhauls semi-tractor/trailers and other heavy equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Job Functions:
· Examines semi-tractor/trailers and heavy equipment and discusses with internal customers on extent of damage or malfunction.
· Plans work procedure and utilizes appropriate tools to complete repairs.
· Must be able to diagnose and repair a variety of heavy earthmoving equipment, including hydraulic excavators, loaders, skid steers and semi-tractor/trailers.
· Ability to use a cutting torch and welder proficiently.
· Maintain inventory and order parts as needed.
· Prepare accurate inspection and service reports and maintain other records as required. Keep work area clean and orderly.
· Routine servicing and overhauling of all diesel engines.
· Ensure the proper handling of all testing and repair tools.
· Removes units such as engine, transmission, or differential.
· Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
· 4 -5 years heavy equipment and semi-tractor/trailer repair experience required.
· A valid driver’s license is required. CDL a plus.
· Welding experience preferred.
· Must be able to operate heavy equipment.
· Ability to operate small power tools.
· U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien status or Authorization to work in the U.S.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; climb ladders, and stairs; talk and hear. Employee will use tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and power tools. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may have occasional exposure to work near fumes and odors; regularly exposed to indoor and/or outdoor temperature fluctuations caused by equipment and/or outside weather conditions in addition to humidity. Employee may experience vibration while working with power tools. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Pay is $30.00/HR DOE
