Link Solutions is seeking a Network Administrator (Intermediate and Senior Level) to join our team in support of the US Army's Network Enterprise Center at Fort Knox, KY.  Must be a US CitizenSecret Clearance requiredNon-remote (relocation incentive available)As a Network Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining computer networks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Government information assets. This is a great opportunity that will allow you to work on innovative projects that offer advancement and growth while helping protect our national security.Intermediate Level Responsibilities: Install, administer, support, and maintain server hardware, peripherals, software, and operating systems. Support and/or conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure network integrity. Monitor network performance and implement optimization strategies, such as traffic shaping, load balancing, and quality of service (QoS) configurations. Provide Tier II-III network/desktop support. Analyze network usage patterns and make recommendations for capacity planning and resource allocation. Support the design and implementation of network infrastructure to meet operational requirements, including planning for scalability, redundancy, and security. Support the deployment and configuration of advanced network systems, such as firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators. Act as an escalation point for the Network Support Technicians. Implement and enforce network security policies, including access control, firewall rules, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Maintain and update network configurations, including VLANs, routing protocols, and access control lists (ACLs). Ensure configurations are backed up and recoverable in case of failure. Ensure the network adheres to Army regulations and cybersecurity standards, including those set by the Department of Defense (DoD). Work with cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain compliance with relevant frameworks and guidelines. Provide training and mentorship to Network Support Technicians, helping them develop their skills and knowledge. Participate in network-related projects, coordinating tasks among team members and ensuring successful completion. Support the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans for the network infrastructure. Senior Level Responsibilities: All Intermediate responsibilities.   Provide daily supervision and direction to personnel across the Network Team. Provide training and mentorship to Network Support Technicians, helping them develop their skills and knowledge. Manage, coordinate, and track work across the Network Team. Maintain overall responsibility for the Network delivery team. Troubleshoot network connectivity problems, including monitoring the network and servers for problems, diagnosing problems, and taking the appropriate corrective measures to ensure an expedient resolution. Install, administer, support, and maintain server hardware, peripherals, software, and operating systems. Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes. Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans. Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT infrastructures. Support the development and delivery of training sessions to ensure staff understand network resources. Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
