We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Director of Clinical Informatics is responsible for facilitation and leadership of Clinical Informatics by leading the implementation of, and providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the electronic health record and other clinically related technologies. They are responsible for coordination, execution, support, and completion of project assessments, project advancements, workflow mapping, tools, and resources focused on Clinical Informatics’ initiatives including but not limited to provider order entry and documentation, standard clinical documentation, Promoting Interoperability, and other technology that supports clinician workflow. The director will participate in the company-wide community of Informatics by working with facility leadership and division peers to ensure clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility.Job Duties:

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement new clinical systems or programs to enhance existing services and raise the standard of care for the patient population served

Works with members across disciplines to determine clinical workflow and dataflow analysis to support technology development and deployment throughout change implementation

Represent clinician interests in partnerships with clinical, operational, and IT colleagues to translate clinical needs into information system needs

Assist with the development and execution of education, training, and communication for clinical staff as it relates to technology and the EHR

Provide feedback to key stakeholders on initiatives and manage the change management and ongoing operational processes around any new technology or EHR project

Collaborate with IT&S colleagues to ensure standardization and application of best practice models

Collaborate with Clinical Education personnel to ensure clinicians are trained appropriately on new technologies and technology updates for both initial implementation and ongoing education

Provide Support to Division VP of Clinical Informatics in the design, testing, education, implementation and evaluation of clinical information systems and the technology to support it

Assist with the identification and coordination of clinical users for communication, expectation management and input during system development, education, implementation and evaluation

Resolution of complex issues and requests escalated from clinicians, the service desk, or other division/facility resources

Possess and maintain current understanding of regulatory standards and the development of a compliance process using the information system where possible, as defined by TJC, Department of Health, CMS and other regulatory bodies

Assist with facilitating the development of systems that allow data to be analyzed, benchmarked and evaluated for effective outcomes, streamlined clinical processes and improved quality of care.

Experience & Education:

Bachelor's degree required

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or residence required

3-5 years of experience in an acute care setting required

1-3 years of experience in leadership with oversight of clinical informatics initiatives preferred

ANCC Nursing Informatics Certification highly preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Expert knowledge of clinical systems that support operational efficiencies as it relates to clinical informatics enterprise initiatives

The ability to use intermediate/advanced features of spreadsheet software to analyze data including formatting summary tables, creating graphs and charts, and making calculations

The ability to exercise independent judgment when planning and managing projects, including assigned personnel, multiple competing projects, or resource demands to meet project deadlines on time and within budget

Strong interpersonal communication, organizational and planning skills

Demonstrated ability to recognize and manage group dynamics
