This role focuses on delivering professional Payroll services while ensuring the accurate and timely deposit to employees. You will be working closely with members of the Human Resources and Finance teams, as well as interacting with various 3rd party vendors.Responsibilities: Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, ensuring timely delivery. Oversee garnishment, employee tax, and deduction processing. Address and resolve employees' payroll-related queries and concerns. Oversee and respond to internal and external audits related to employees, payroll, and/or benefits. Direct the administration of the 401(k) Retirement Plan, Leave Of Absence tracking, & Time and Labor management. Establish controls and auditing practices to ensure regulatory compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Audit employee and employer tax data within HRIS system, identifying and correcting discrepancies prior to quarter-end filings. Reconcile quarterly tax returns to HRIS system. Verify all employee W-2s at year-end, handle corrective W-2Cs and amendments. Work directly with vendors as needed for troubleshooting and evaluation of system updates. Establish and maintain end-to-end reporting requests, creation, and processes. Establish and oversee payroll processing guidelines, policies, and procedures. Analyze sensitive data to support various needs within the department confidentially and securely. Prepare files for Accounting: General Ledger, Headcount/Census reports, PTO Accruals, etc. Direct, train & supervise the work of the Payroll team, setting established practices and priority of workload.Requirements Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll supervisor or manager role within the Manufacturing industry Proficiency in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode is essential Familiarity with Crystal Reports is required Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration is a must Proficiency in Accounting Functions is necessary Auditing skills are essential Experience in Benefit Functions is required Proficiency in Workday is necessary Expertise in Microsoft Excel is essential Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.   • Summary This position serves as the primary shift supervisor and will be directly responsible for the supervision of all food service activities and coordinates the activities of the Food Service Workers in the different elements of the Food Service Section at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Supervises all areas of food production and service including food preparation, nourishment, tray delivery and retrieval; Takes corrective action for any problems that might arise on the floors pertaining to food service; Receives and inspects deliveries and requisitions all supplies needed in all food service areas; Prepares performance ratings/competencies for all employees under their direct supervision; Discusses work performance and problems with employees, monitors tardiness and attendance, provides guidance and makes necessary adjustments in assignments when necessary; Carries out the responsibilities of the position within general instructions, standard procedures and established policies; Ensures subordinates complete the tasks to which they are assigned and explains work requirements to meet food service schedules; Establishes priorities for daily operations in the event of emergency situations; defines the standards of quality and quantity to be met; Serves as a member of the in-service training team by providing individual and/or group instruction for employees; Provides guidance and assistance for lower grade employees in making decision when assembling patient trays and utilizing correct foods to be served on modified diets; Maintains inventory of food service supplies and equipment; Conducts quality assurance monitors and sanitation reviews; Supervises the delivery and retrieval of patient trays which includes interacting with members of the multidisciplinary team; Performs other related duties as assigned. Food service workers are regularly exposed to hot liquids, sharp cutting blades, hot working surfaces, and extreme temperature changes when entering walk-in refrigeration or freezing units.
