Description We are seeking a Technical Director to oversee IT operations for a two-day traveling rodeo show based in Lexington, Virginia. This role involves the management of technology needs in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, specifically in the Virginia Horse Center. The employment type for this position is short term contract.Responsibilities Oversee IT-related aspects of a traveling rodeo show, ensuring the smooth operation of all technical aspects of the event. Manage and control the functionality of seven different camera angles to capture the event effectively. Input information into the system for display during the event, ensuring accurate and timely updates. Operate independently following an initial introduction to the system, demonstrating proficiency and adaptability with the technology used. Work out of a 20ft production trailer, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in different working environments. Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Cloud Technologies, CRM, Dell Technologies, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to manage IT needs of the event. Utilize skills in Active Directory, Auditing, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, and Configuration Management to ensure the smooth operation of the event. Manage per diem to cover personal expenses such as hotel and meals, demonstrating financial responsibility and accountability. Requirements Proven experience in a similar role as a Technical Director or related position. Strong knowledge of Cisco Technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting. Expertise in Cloud Technologies, including cloud management and deployment. Familiarity with CRM systems and their implementation. Proficiency in Dell Technologies, including server and storage solutions. Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Knowledge of Active Directory, including creating and managing user accounts. Skills in Auditing, particularly in relation to IT systems and processes. Familiarity with Backup Technologies, including data recovery and disaster recovery planning. Strong understanding of Computer Hardware, including troubleshooting and maintenance. Experience with Configuration Management, including software and system configurations. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage and lead technical teams effectively. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
