Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the manufacturing industry, based in Louisville, Kentucky for a publicly traded company. The Controller will play a pivotal role in supporting the business unit in achieving financial targets, developing key performance indicators, and enhancing financial processes and systems. Responsibilities: Support the business unit in achieving financial targets through comprehensive financial analysis Develop key performance indicators to aid the business unit in implementing strategy and plans Enhance financial processes, standards, and systems, ensuring compliance and efficiency Communicate, discuss, and challenge financial impacts with local management for informed decision-making Prepare and present at business unit related meetings where financial input is required Drive cost savings by identifying and measuring potential areas of reduction Prepare Sales, Pricing, and Gross Margin analysis as needed by management Oversee and manage commissions, sales incentives, and promotions related to proper accrual and payments Resolve reporting discrepancies and concerns involving system processing or policies and procedures Maintain and coordinate all Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts with other management staff.Requirements Must hold a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field Proven experience in a controller or similar role in a public company environment Extensive knowledge and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desired Strong proficiency in financial software and MS Office Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Exceptional leadership and communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team Proven strategic planning abilities Solid understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns Ability to present complex financial information in an understandable manner Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional attention to detail.
