This is a part time position 20 hours per week (season dependent). You can make your own schedule.
We are a public equestrian park and nature preserve. We have hiking and horseback riding trails, as well as a cross country course for horses.
We provide our own equipment for mowing, bush hogging and farm maintenance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
FACILITY
Garbage removal in public areas
Parking lot maintenance
Mowing around the barn and frontage areas
Weed eating around public areas
HIKING AND RIDING TRAILS
Bush hogging the trails
Cutting back branches and logs blocking the trails
Removing dead fall and dangerous trees
Maintaining areas that become eroded or dangerous
Checking the trail bathrooms for maintenance issues and cleanliness
BARN
Mowing the fields
Putting out round bales
Dragging the arena
Fix gates, boards, small carpentry projects
Put up hotwire
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to operate a tractor.
Ability to operate a bush hog and mower
Self-starter
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to communicate, take direction and work in a team environment
Ability to see tasks through to completion
Must be reliable
Education and Experience:
At least two years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, snow and cold
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds'
