We have received national safety awards as a result of our performance.EGC is proud to be part of the Messer family of companies and we are committed to building what matters most for our customers and transforming the communities in which we live.We are currently seeking pipe fitters for the Process/Utility Piping Systems in Valdosta, GA.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and P&ID'sLays out, assembles, installs and maintains process and utility piping systems.Inspects work site to determine presence of obstructions and determine proper pipe path clearance.Cuts pipe using saws, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine.Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to process and production equipmentPerform planned maintenance, inspection and installation on process and production equipmentFollow job site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards and protect self and othersExperience Required:Ability to keep work ahead of weldersOSHA 10/30 CertifiedUsing facing tools, Fischer saws, and other process related toolsGeneral knowledge of piping layout and routingKnowledge of general piping systemsCombination fitter/welder is a plusQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent Candidates must have transportation and good communication skillsBe able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditionsAbilities:Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilitiesPhysical requirements: standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50lbs., seeing and readingEGC is a merit shop contractor supporting a Team working environment.
