Opportunity to work for a large aluminum products manufacturing company. The client is particularly interested in expanding its aluminum billet manufacturing business.The job is in Kentucky with 50% travel. You will be responsible for minimizing costs and maximizing profitability of a manufacturing operation, while improving operating efficiencies and product quality. Experience as a Director of Operations, Director of Manufacturing, Engineering Manager or Plant Manager in the aluminum industry is preferred. You will be responsible for improving P&L, meeting production and budget goals, implementing process and technology improvements, increasing capacity utilization, and supporting R&D and Sales for product improvement. Working in a lean manufacturing environment, you will plan, coordinate, and control all elements of the operation, including staffing, equipment, logistics, facilities, and work methods. Manage process and maintenance engineering, production, and equipment/tooling to satisfy customer orders and inventory levels. Coordinate with sales to improve existing products and the overall profits of the organization. Optimize production planning, manufacturing processes, and facility-related functions to improve productivity, reduce manufacturing costs, and maintain a clean, safe work environment for all employees.
