Description Robert Half has a great opportunity for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional at a growing company. Responsibilities of this position include enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract to full time Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area.Major responsibilities
Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization
Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
Verify documents and codes
Requirements
Experience with ERP systems
Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular
Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Microsoft Excel experience preferred
Customer invoices experience highly desired
Strong familiarity with Post Payments
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired
Payment Processing experience
Proven knowledge of Invoice Payment
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
