Temporary Job Appointment: This position may be filled by temporary job appointment not to exceed 48 months.

About this position:

This vacancy is located at Capital Area Human Services District's Crisis Division.

This position operates on a weekly part-time basis, four clinics that are located in the parishes of Pointe Coupee, Plaquemine, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.

THE SALARY FOR THIS POSITION:

Administrative Coordinator 4 (pay grade level AS-611) has a minimum salary of $15.01/hourly; $1,200.80/bi-weekly.

Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.

Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.

Manage electronic health records for all patients, ensuring records are complete. Incumbent is responsible to obtain consent forms, documentation of income to assess fees and eligibility services.

Responsible for checking insurance eligibility.

Processes routine paperwork and/or enters data into a department log or database in the servicing of a customer.

Serves as liaison with various insurance companies on behalf of customer.

Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.

Assist with compiling information from various sources and prepares specialized reports; formats reports according to department standards.

Prepares requisitions for the purchase of supplies; may involve entering information into an automated system.
