Civil Engineer (PE)

Primary Responsibilities:Serve as Engineer of Record and stamp/seal civil and structural design documents.Lead civil and structural design efforts for infrastructure upgrades and facility improvements at SPR sites.Develop and review:Structural steel systems (pipe racks, platforms, equipment supports)Reinforced concrete foundations and slabsEquipment and tank foundationsAnchorage and embedment systemsGrading, drainage, and site development plansPerform structural analysis in accordance with:ASCE 7 (including coastal wind exposure requirements)ACI 318AISC Steel ManualUFC criteria and DOE standardsPrepare and review calculations, technical specifications, design narratives, and construction documents.Coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical, and process disciplines.Support value engineering reviews, constructability reviews, and internal quality assurance.Provide engineering support during construction (RFIs, submittals, site visits).Participate in field investigations and structural condition assessments.Projects are primarily delivered using a Design-Bid-Build approach within a federal contracting framework. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringActive Professional Engineer (PE) license requiredLicensed in Louisiana and Texas or able to obtain reciprocity in both states12+ years of progressive civil/structural design experienceDemonstrated experience serving as Engineer of Record and stamping construction documentsExtensive experience in:Industrial structural steel designReinforced concrete designHeavy equipment foundation designWind loading in hurricane-prone regionsExperience supporting federal clients (DOE, USACE, VA, DOD preferred)Proficiency with structural analysis software (RAM, RISA, STAAD, or similar)Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or RevitAbility to obtain and maintain required site access/security clearance Preferred QualificationsExperience in energy, petroleum, or industrial processing facilitiesFamiliarity with UFC criteria and federal design standardsExperience performing structural assessments of aging infrastructureConstruction phase engineering support experience

 Education:Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience:Civil and structural design: 10 years (Required) License/Certification:Professional Engineer (Required)
