Together, we can build what matters!This position is for a Plant Engineering Laborer within the Large Power Systems Division located in our Lafayette, IN facility. The Plant Engineering Laborer performs a wide range of facilities services tasks. Hauling trash, beautification of facility, maintaining chip hoppers and media tubs. Machine and barrel clean out as needed. Penthouse and paint booth filter replacement on PM schedule. Manage wood auger and disposal. Housekeeping.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Repairing, fixing, replacing rock block/wood flooring

Cleaning in high concentrated areas

Moving material via sit down fork truck & tuggers.

Working above elevated areas

Sorting scrap material

Filter replacement

Machine cleanouts

Wood disposal

Managing Recyclables

Applicant must be willing to work overtime opportunities to support production demands.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have sit-down fork truck and scissor lift experience.

Must have good written and oral communication skills.

Self-motivated, safety-conscious individual capable of working independently.

Basic computer skills.

Top Candidates will also:

Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support facility.

Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates for all positions must have the ability to work in a fast pace, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment.

Work may involve frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 8+ hours.

All positions also require the ability to lift 40 pounds and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling.

Must be able to work in heights and confirmed spaces

Additional Information:

This position is in Lafayette, IN.

Shift hours: 1st (6:00am - 2:00pm) Monday - Friday.

May require additional overtime or flexing shifts to meet projects and deadlines.

Relocation assistance is not offered for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected applicant.
