Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team based in Monroe, North Carolina. This role involves handling customer accounts in a fast-paced environment within the finance industry. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be tasked with managing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer queries. Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure data accuracy Address and resolve customer inquiries relating to their accounts Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure all financial data aligns Handle billing processes and ensure all invoices are sent out on time Manage cash applications and ensure payments are applied correctly Oversee cash collections and ensure timely payments from customers Utilize Microsoft Excel for account management and financial reporting Operate the Epicor system for efficient management of accounts receivable. Requirements Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable Specialist role or similar Proficiency in account reconciliation is required Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary Demonstrated proficiency in billing practices and procedures Proficiency in cash applications is required Experience in cash collections is necessary Must have experience in commercial collections Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Experience with Epicor software is preferred Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills Should have a high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary Must have strong problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Professional certification such as Certified Accounts Receivable Specialist (CARS) is a plus.
