Individuals must be open to learning about childhood development and the Montessori Method. They must have patience and respect for children, a desire to encourage children to be independent, a willingness to learn and practice positive discipline techniques, and an ability to model appropriate behavior. Teachers must maintain an environment rich with Montessori philosophy that is both safe and engaging for children.
