Document Controller

Description We are seeking a Document Controller for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role is integral to the Project Services Department and offers a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity. As a Document Controller, you will be tasked with numerous responsibilities including document control, overseeing project deliverables, and assisting with project status reports. Responsibilities: Oversee and assign tasks to individuals at lower levels Handle requests for document numbers, equipment numbers, and tag numbers as required Distribute document, tag, and equipment numbers to the appropriate disciplines Maintain and create project-specific and company-wide client documents master indices Compile, reproduce, and transmit packages of project deliverables Assist with the transmittal of RFQs, purchase orders, and requisitions Assemble and reproduce final project documentation books for transmittal to the client Log and return all vendor data received Assist in scheduling and preparing for squad check meetings Maintain transmittal logs and attend project meetings, functioning as the scribe, and preparing meeting notes Assist Project Manager in assembling and transmitting project status reportsRequirements Proficiency in RFQ Process and Construction Documents Experience in Document Control and Electronic Document Management Ability to handle Approved Requisitions, Bid Requests, and Purchase Requisitions Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team Proven experience in a similar role would be advantageousRobert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
