AECOM is seeking an experienced Mechanical CAD Specialist to join our team, focusing on mechanical and structural heavy steel fabrication. In this role, you will work on high-impact infrastructure projects, producing detailed designs, schematics, and layouts that meet the highest standards of accuracy and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce mechanical and structural CAD designs for heavy steel fabrication projects.Create detailed hydraulic schematics, mechanical layouts, and fabrication drawings.Develop 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor, Revit, and AutoCAD.Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.Collaborate with engineers and project managers to refine designs and resolve technical challenges.Revise and update existing drawings based on engineering changes and client feedback.Support the development of project documentation, specifications, and bill of materials.Coordinate with fabrication teams to ensure manufacturability and efficiency in design.Perform quality checks on CAD work to ensure precision and accuracy.Contribute to design innovation and process improvements within the team.
