Medical Biller/Collections Specialist

Description Robert Half has an opening for a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist with our client in the Non-Profit industry. The successful candidate will be based in New Orleans, Louisiana, and will be integral in maintaining the financial health of our organization. This role involves processing and reviewing bills, establishing financial controls, and ensuring data quality and consistency across multiple teams. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurate and efficient processing of bills or invoices for services provided Evaluating billing documents and other data for accuracy and completeness, obtaining missing or correct data when necessary Developing and implementing financial controls and procedures Collaborating with other functional teams to ensure data quality and consistency Utilizing various accounting software systems, including Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), and EHR SYSTEM Handling tasks related to Accounts Receivable (AR), such as appeals and authorizations Performing billing functions and benefit functions Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data entry into various electronic systems Using strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook and internet applications Addressing and resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional mannerRequirements Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems Proficiency in Allscripts Experience with Cerner Technologies Knowledge of Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) Ability to use EHR SYSTEM Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) Capable of handling Appeals Experience with Authorizations Knowledge of Benefit Functions Proficiency in Billing FunctionsRobert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
